AA22xA6 Update: Allu Arjun Begins Shooting, Deepika to Join Atlee’s Action Film Soon

AA22xA6 Update: South superstar Allu Arjun has officially begun shooting for Atlee's upcoming action drama AA22xA6, one of the most anticipated pan-India films. According to recent reports, filming started in Mumbai on 12 June 2025, with a special puja ceremony on set.

Allu Arjun Kickstarts Shooting

As per Sacnilk, Allu Arjun started the first schedule of the film this week, with actress Mrunal Thakur also joining the set. The makers initiated principal photography after a formal ceremony. However, the entry of Deepika Padukone into the shoot schedule is yet to be confirmed.

Earlier this month, the filmmakers released an official video welcoming Deepika Padukone to the team. The video showed Deepika discussing the script with director Atlee, followed by glimpses of her preparation. The caption described her as a "Queen ready to conquer." Deepika is all set to showcase her action-packed avatar in this film.

Allu Arjun in a Dual Role

While earlier reports hinted at a two-hero story, Allu Arjun’s team clarified that the actor will play a dual role. This twist is expected to elevate the film’s drama and action levels. The film is currently being shot and is expected to release on a grand scale in 2026, with mid-2025 as the primary production window.

Allu Arjun on Working with Atlee

In a recent interview, Allu Arjun said,

“Yes, this is my 22nd film. It’s with Atlee Garu, who directed Jawan. I loved his concept, his vision aligned with mine. We aim to bring a visually spectacular film to Indian cinema.”
