Aamir Khan gets emotional for not spending time with his children Junaid, Ira and Azad

Aamir Khan is one of the best actors in the industry. The actor ruled the hearts of the audience with his brilliant acting. Aamir Khan recently shared how he was unaware of the lives and challenges of his children. Not only this, the actor revealed that he knows more about his team and directors than his children.

Aamir regrets not giving time to Ira, Junaid and Azad

Let us tell you that in the latest episode of Rhea Chakraborty's podcast Chapter 2, Aamir Khan revealed how he was never present for his children Ira, Junaid, and Azad. The actor shared, "Ira was suffering from depression at that time, now she is much better. But then she needed me. Junaid is starting his career. He has lived his life without me. And now, maybe he is taking the last big step of his life toward his career. If I am not with him at this time, what is the point? Azad is 9 years old right now. In the next 3 years, he will become a youth. His childhood will not come back".

The actor spoke about not having any strong feelings for children

While talking about not having any strong feelings for his children, Aamir Khan revealed where he was wrong. He said, "It is not that I do not have any strong feelings for my children, I feel a lot for my family. But the fact is that I already had my close people around me, I had to win the hearts of the audience. I have laughed and cried with them through my films and stories. I have given people hope. But when Ira and Junaid were five or six years old, I did not know anything about their feelings, what their problems were, what they needed at that time, or what their challenges were. I had no idea about these things". 

Aamir Khan got emotional about his children

Along with this, the actor said while crying, "But, I knew everything about my team and directors. I felt very bad. So, that time was very difficult for me. No one told me this. I realized it myself. Ira and Junaid's childhood will not come back. I could have spent a lot of time with my mother in the last 30 years, which I did not do. That time will never come back".

Aamir gave this reaction on not taking time out for family

In the podcast, the actor was asked if his family doesn't demand time from him. Responding to this, Aamir said, "My family sometimes asked me to take out some time for them, but they never pressured me because they felt that I was lost in my work and should not be disturbed. This realization was a turning point in my life. At that time I decided that I will leave the thing that takes me away from my family. I decided not to work in films at all. I did not want to be associated with it. I was angry with myself and my work. Since that time, I have been giving them time. I had left films, but got connected again".
