Aamir Khan on Pahalgam Attack: 'I Don’t Consider Terrorists as True Muslims'

Aamir Khan on Pahalgam Terror Attack: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is currently promoting his upcoming film 'Sitaare Zameen Par' with great enthusiasm. Now Aamir Khan has responded to the criticism regarding the timing of his reaction to the Pahalgam Terror Attack. The actor has spoken openly about why he reacted late.

Let us tell you that Aamir Khan termed the Pahalgam terror attack as "brutal" and "cowardly" and said, "The terror attack was brutal. It only shows the cowardice of the terrorists that they entered our country and opened fire on the common people. You or I could have been there. They asked their religion and then opened fire. What does this mean?"

Continuing his point, Aamir Khan further clarified that even though people did not see his immediate social media post, it was not because he was not concerned. He said, "I am not on social media. People react immediately to such incidents there". The actor said that he had addressed the matter in an event soon after the incident.

 'There was an attack on our unity as well'- Aamir Khan 

Aamir Khan said, "This was an attack not only on our country but also on our unity. They have already received a befitting reply from our country". Aamir Khan referred to India's retaliatory attacks under Operation Sindoor, in which terrorist camps in Pakistan were targeted.

28 people killed in terrorist attack

For your information, let us tell you that on April 22, 2025, a horrific mass firing took place in the Baisaran grassland near Pahalgam in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. In this attack, known as the Pahalgam massacre of Hindu tourists, terrorists belonging to The Resistance Front (TRF) opened fire on a group of Hindu tourists. At least 28 people were killed and more than 20 people were injured in this deadly attack. After which on Saturday evening, May 10, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced that the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of both India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire.

Let us tell you that in Sitare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan is going to play the role of a basketball coach, who is forced to train a team of neurodivergent children for a tournament as punishment. Directed by R.S. Prasanna, this film is a remake of the Spanish film Campeones. The newcomers in the film include Arush Dutta, Gopi Krishna Verma, Sanvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra and Simran Mangeshkar. This film is going to be released in theaters on June 20.
