Aamir Khan to Launch 'Sitaare': Exploring the Difference from 'Taare'

Amir himself has revealed this by saying that the shooting of the film started at the beginning of February. During the promotion of 'Laapta Ladies', directed by his ex-wife (second) Kiran Rao, Aamir openly discussed about his newly started film 'Sitaare Zameen Par'.

Aamir says that 'Sitaare Zameen Par' is the sequel to his (2007) film 'Taare Zameen Par'. "It's Part 2". 'Sitaare Zameen Par' is also a film of the same pattern as 'Taare Zameen Par' but its story is different and the star cast is different." Tisca Chopra was in 'Taare…', but it is being said that Genelia D'Souza Deshmukh will be the female lead in this film.

A close source clarified the difference between the two films and said that understand the difference like this - 'Taare' was Sita type and 'Sitaare' was Geeta type. The theme is the same.

Aamir said that a lot of pre-production preparations have been done on the film and Mr. Perfectionist will not fail to make it a perfect film. The shooting of the film will be completed as soon as possible in 60 to 80 days and the post-production work will begin. Along with this film, work is going on at a fast pace on another project "Lahore 1947" in Aamir Khan Production in which Sunny Deol has the lead role. Aamir will do a cameo role in it. The film is being directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi.

Regarding the release of "Sitaare Zameen Par", Aamir Khan said, "This film will be released during Christmas time this year."
