Aamir Khan's Dangal co-star Zaira Wasim's father passes away

The father of former actress Zaira Wasim, who has worked with Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan in films like blockbusters Dangal and Secret Superstar, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Zaira Wasim has shared a post on social media and informed about the death of her father.

My father, Zahid Wasim, has passed away. Please remember him in your prayers and ask Allah to forgive his shortcomings, make his grave peaceful, protect him from its torment, ease his journey from here ahead and grant him the highest level of Jannah and Maghrirah.

Zaira Wasim shared the news of her father's death on her social media account. Sharing this news, she wrote, "My father Zahid Wasim has passed away. Please remember him in your prayers and ask Allah to forgive his shortcomings, make his grave peaceful, protect him from suffering, make his journey from here onwards easy and grant him the highest level of Jannat and Maghrib". After seeing Zaira's post, many users sent their condolences through social media.

Zaira Wasim made her Bollywood debut with the film Dangal

Zaira Wasim made her Bollywood debut in 2016 at the age of 16. She played the childhood role of famous Haryanavi wrestler Geeta Phogat in Nitesh Tiwari's blockbuster sports drama Dangal. She is the daughter of Mahavir Singh Phogat. The character of this wrestler was played by producer-actor Aamir Khan. Apart from this, the actress is known for films like 'Secret Superstar' and 'The Sky Is Pink'. During The Sky Is Pink, Zaira announced to distance herself from Bollywood. She said goodbye to the world of glamor forever for Islam.
