Actor Aarya Babbar ( son of veteran versatile star-actor Raj Babbar)--- who made an impact in Bigg Boss Season-8, and also known for his intense roles in over 24 movies including Farah Khan’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’, Vikam Bhatt’s ‘Dangerous Ishq’ and Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Jail’ etc has currently deviated into the live-stand-up-comedy-zone. Recently, a trial-cum-premiere of ‘Seasoned Actor’ – title of Aarya Babbar’s first ever solo stand-up laugh-riot comedy show took place in Rasā - The Stage ( at Goregaon West-Mumbai) on a warm Sunday evening. Where the entire Babbar family in full strength comprising Raj Babbar, Nadira Babbar, Prateik Babbar, Priya Banerjee, Juhi Babbar-Soni, Anup Soni, Jasmine Puri-Babbar (Aarya’s wife) were present to cheer Aarya up. Besides the ticketed audience a group of well-wishers were present in to support the adventurous Aarya at this ‘houseful’ premiere show.
According to Creative-Copy Sr Advtg Executive Ms. Malavika C.P. who attended the live premiere show, ”it was truly an immersive experience as the multi-talented and multi-faceted Aarya took the crowd by surprise and left the room echoing with roaring laughter at every ‘punch’. He showcased all his talents, from acting to dancing to mimicking and of course zany comedy. Being not even a year old into the serious-comedy business, Aarya’s comic timing with the perfect props, music and of course, his presence of mind to crack hilarious jokes on the spot, was very commendable.”
Continues Malavika, “ The audience seemed blown away by his version of naughty roast- comedy where he was roasting himself with some self-deprecating humor. The best part is that Aarya candidly spoke about ‘nepotism’ and how it doesn't always work out for everyone. He also made sure of the nitty- gritties and technicalities of performing a stand-up set, like having the perfect call-back, each time and catching the audience off-guard with his wit,” shared the discerning Mumbai-based Malavika.
With his series of pan-India houseful live comic shows Aarya Babbar might brand himself as a ‘Seasonal Actor’ making quirky comments on ‘nepotism-har-kisi-ke-kaam-nahi-aata’ ’. But he's surely escalating on the upward path to become a ‘Seasoned Stand-up Comedian’ ! Ask his appreciating friend ( 'Animal') mega-star Bobby Deol and amazing actress-sister ( and ‘ardent fan’) Juhi Babbar-Soni to comment on this-- and they will surely endorse his rising success-graph in the hansi-mazaak arena.
