The actor said, "I think he is Lord Hanuman because. I went to a conference to promote my upcoming film Baby John. The way he spoke. He put India and Modi ji at the forefront in every answer. He was not promoting himself. He was not looking at whether he would look good or bad if he made a particular statement. The country was a priority for him. This is what I liked about him. He is working for the prosperity of the country and not for his public image. He puts the country first". Along with this, Varun Dhawan was told that his clarification could lead to criticism on social media and he could be termed as a 'Sanghi'. The actor replied, "Let the critics speak. I am not a political man. When I did not like some things, I told them off". Varun Dhawan met Amit Shah In another recent interaction, Varun Dhawan met Amit Shah and asked him a question about Ramayana. The actor asked, "What was the biggest difference between Lord Rama and Ravana?" The political leader explained, "See, for some people, their interests are determined by their duties (dharma), whether they should follow them or not. For others, their duties are determined by their self-interest. That is the difference between them." Varun Dhawan said this Continuing his talk, Varun Dhawan said, "Ram lived his life based on his dharma, while Ravana tried to change the duties to suit his own definitions and ideas." Varun then raised the topic of ego, a topic that Amit Shah spoke about during the conclave. He said, "You mentioned ego. Ravana was arrogant about his knowledge, while Ram was knowledgeable about ahamkara (ego)." Shah replied, "This also comes under the definition of dharma". Varun told Amit Shah, "People call him Chanakya in politics, but I would like to call him Hanuman of our country, who serves the country selflessly".
