Akhanda 2 Plot

The Maha Kumbh Mela is chosen as the launching point for the Tibetan army's biowarfare operation against India, aimed at destabilizing the entire country. As the situation worsens, the Prime Minister orders the DRDO to immediately develop an antidote. After scientist Janani (Harshaali Malhotra) develops it, the enemy begins pursuing her. At this point, Akhand ( Nandamuri Balakrishna ), who had previously vowed to return whenever she was in danger, reappears. The story revolves around how he rescues Janani, stops the biowar, and restores Dharma in the country.

Following the tremendous success of Akhanda (2021), director Boyapati Srinu confirmed in early 2024 that a sequel to the film was in the works. The film was officially announced as BB4 on the occasion of Nandamuri Balakrishna's birth anniversary. On January 25, 2025, the team officially announced Samyuktha as the female lead. On February 2, 2025, the makers announced Aadi Pinisetty as the villain opposite Balakrishna. On July 2, 2025, Harshaali Malhotra was announced as part of the film, marking her debut in Telugu cinema.

When was the film shot?

The film was officially launched with a muhurat shot in Hyderabad on October 16, 2024. Principal photography began in 2024, with major schedules shot in Hyderabad, the Himalayas, and the Kumbh Mela. In mid-2025, the team filmed key scenes in Georgia. Shooting concluded in the first week of August in Tiruvannamalai, and Balakrishna completed dubbing for his role on August 29, 2025.

Music
