Akshay Kumar : Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently opened up about a heartbreaking experience. He recounted an incident involving his daughter and a video game, which made him realize the growing threat of cybercrime among children. Akshay also took the opportunity to advise children and parents to be vigilant about cybersecurity.
Akshay Kumar highlights the growing threat of cybercrime
A cyber awareness program began in Mumbai in October 2025. Held at the office of the Director General of Police, the program was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, senior police officials, and Akshay Kumar himself. The program focused on the growing threat of cybercrime, but Akshay Kumar's story touched everyone's heart. (akshay kumar daughter nitara) While narrating the incident, Akshay Kumar said, "The game allowed him to play with strangers. The person on the other end initially sent polite messages like 'thank you', 'well done', and 'fantastic'. He seemed like a nice person. After a while, he asked if she was a man or a woman. When she replied with a woman, the tone of the conversation changed."
Akshay Kumar's daughter was asked for nude photos.
The actor further revealed that the stranger then made a clear demand, asking for nude photos. "My daughter immediately turned off the game and informed my wife. Thankfully, she reported the incident without hesitation, which was the best part," the actor said.
Akshay Kumar was requested by his parents
Akshay Kumar stressed that this is not an isolated case, but part of a larger pattern of online criminals operating. He explained how such criminals gain the trust of minors before exploiting them, often leading to blackmail, extortion, or worse. Calling this a warning, he urged families to continue communicating with their children. His words underscored the importance of trust between parents and children in combating the silent dangers of the internet.
Akshay Kumar made a request to the Maharashtra CM
Continuing his point, Akshay Kumar further said, "I would request the Chief Minister that there should be a weekly 'cyber period' for students of classes 7, 8, 9, and 10 in Maharashtra schools. During this period, children should be taught about the dangers of cybercrime."
