Actor Ali Fazal is one of the best actors in Bollywood. Ali Fazal recently spoke about feeling uncomfortable while shooting a very violent scene in Mirzapur. The actor admitted that he faced a 'moral dilemma' during filming because he felt the scene was unnecessary.

Ali Fazal said this about shooting violent scenes in Mirzapur

In fact, when Ali Fazal was asked during a recent conversation if he steps back when he faces moral dilemmas while shooting, the actor said, "Yes. Now, as per my privilege, I think it has increased. But I always… and maybe that is why I have lost a lot of work. But moral dilemmas keep happening. In Mirzapur, there was a scene where I kill someone, which I felt at the time was a very unnecessary way to execute that scene. And I couldn't free myself. The character also couldn't free himself from it. I felt it was absolutely wrong, like why would you write that?"

Ali Fazal said this

Continuing his point, Ali Fazal further said, “I constantly had to grapple with my mind and the character's mind, and not decide on that and at the same time, I'm asking the filmmaker, 'Why?' But then there are so many whys. You sit with writers directors, and it's an ugly..."

Ali Fazal's upcoming projects

Ali Fazal will next be seen in Anurag Basu's Metro in Dino (2024). The actor is also a part of Sunny Deol's Lahore 1947 and Kamal Haasan starrer Thug Life. Ali Fazal also recently appeared in the announcement teaser of Mirzapur - The Film, an adaptation of the Hindi crime thriller series. Ali Fazal also confirmed to be a part of writer-actor Phoebe Waller-Bridge starrer Hollywood film Rule Breakers. Directed by two-time Oscar winner Bill Guttentag, the film is based on themes of resilience and defiance in Afghanistan. It is scheduled to release in March 2025.

The film Mirzapur will be released in the year 2026 

Produced by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmeet Singh, the Mirzapur film is scheduled to release in 2026. It will see the return of Pankaj (Kaaleen Bhaiya), Ali Fazal (Guddu Pandit), and Divyendu (Munna), as well as Abhishek Banerjee, who plays the compounder in the series. After releasing in theaters, the film will be available for streaming eight weeks after release for Prime members in India and more than 240 countries and territories. The crime thriller is an Excel Entertainment production. The first season was released in November 2018 and the second season in October 2020. The third season of the show was released in July 2024.
