Telugu star Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in connection with the death of a woman in a stampede during the screening of Pushpa 2 The Rule. Hyderabad Police has taken the superstar to Chikkadpally Police Station for questioning.

Father-in-law arrives to meet Allu Arjun 

Let us tell you that on Friday, December 13, ANI shared a video of Allu Arjun's father-in-law Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy, in which he reached the police station after Allu Arjun was brought for questioning. He refused to talk to the media and stood there when the media asked him about his son-in-law's arrest. Since he was not being allowed to enter the police station, he requested the police officer present there, "Inspector, please let us in. It is not like we will do anything. So, please ask him to let us in".

Know the whole matter

During the premiere of Pushpa 2 The Rule, a large number of fans thronged to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre on December 4. This led to a stampede-like situation. In the incident, a 35-year-old woman died and her nine-year-old son had to be hospitalised due to suffocation. Police said that based on the complaint of the deceased's family, a case has been registered at the Chikkadpally police station against the actor, his security team and the theatre management under sections 105 and 118 (1) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS).

Allu Arjun expressed grief 

Allu Arjun expressed grief over the Sandhya theatre tragedy and promised financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the family of the deceased. He wrote on Twitter, "Deeply saddened by the tragic incident at Sandhya theatre. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family in this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them that they are not alone in this pain and I will personally meet the family. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I am committed to providing all possible support to help them get through this challenging journey." However, after the family of the deceased filed an FIR against him, his team and the theatre management, the actor filed a petition to quash the FIR and requested a stay on all further proceedings, including arrest.
