This led to a stampede-like situation. In the incident, a 35-year-old woman died and her nine-year-old son had to be hospitalised due to suffocation. Police said that based on the complaint of the deceased's family, a case has been registered at the Chikkadpally police station against the actor, his security team and the theatre management under sections 105 and 118 (1) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS). He wrote on Twitter, "Deeply saddened by the tragic incident at Sandhya theatre. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family in this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them that they are not alone in this pain and I will personally meet the family. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I am committed to providing all possible support to help them get through this challenging journey." However, after the family of the deceased filed an FIR against him, his team and the theatre management, the actor filed a petition to quash the FIR and requested a stay on all further proceedings, including arrest.
