One of the most popular award events in India, the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2024 is going to start from 27 September 2024. Actually, Ananya Pandey while sharing her opinion on her latest cyber thriller film CTRL said, "It is very scary. I know very little about technology, I know nothing when it comes to AI, but after doing this film and watching the film, there was actually a ten-minute silence in my house because it is very impressive and scary. I think when we started shooting the film, it felt like this is a very distant reality, maybe it is going to happen in the future, but now that the film is releasing, we are joking as if it is almost like a documentary".

Moreover, during her interview at the IIFA festival, Ananya also reflected on the popularity of her web series Call Me Bae. The actress was asked what her character Bae would ask the popular character Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Ananya responded by saying, "She will probably ask for some tips and learn some popular dialogues."

Ananya Pandey was seen handing over control of her life to AI

The trailer of CTRL introduces Ananya as Nela, who creates an account on a platform called CTRL. It allows an AI assistant to control your life and happiness. It turns out that Nela is trying to get over a bad breakup where her boyfriend cheated on her. She asks Ctrl to 'delete' her ex-boyfriend. Then she finds out that he has gone missing, which means that the AI's intervention has real-world implications.

CTRL will be released on Netflix on October 4

CTRL is produced by Saffron and Andolan in association with Travelin' Bone. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the film is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya A Menon. It is written by Avinash Sampath and Vikramaditya Motwane with dialogues by Sumukhi Suresh. The film marks the second co-starring role of Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat after Call Me Bae. CTRL is all set to release on Netflix on October 4, 2024.

I have grown up watching him host on TV and I used to record it and go back and watch it. He is so much fun. He is charming, fun, and witty. So I am personally really excited to see it."
