Anees Bazmee reacts on casting Vidya Balan as Manjulika

The trailer of Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, and Tripti Dimri's film 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' has been released. In this film, Vidya Balan is once again coming to scare everyone with her old character Manjulika. While Vidya Balan's role in the first part of the film franchise was highly appreciated, fans are also praising her character in the trailer of the third part. Director Anees Bazmee in his interview told the the scenes story of how he was able to cast Vidya for this project and what was her reaction on hearing the script.

In fact, Anees Bazmee expressed in his recent interview that he knew Vidya Balan was the best fit for the role. He said, "I always felt that if anyone could play Manjulika, it should be Vidya. Vidya Balan did such a great job in the first film and she got a lot of love for her performance.

Talking about how they chose Vidya Balan for the third installment of the franchise, Anees Bazmee said, “We approached Vidya ji and luckily she liked the script. She said, 'Among the stories I have heard, there is only one story that I like very much'. When it was the narration, I gave a 10-minute narration and wanted to know what she felt. When I narrated it, she was very excited and said 'It will be a lot of fun'."

The filmmaker highlighted that they met again after about 10 to 15 days and gave a detailed briefing, but within those first 10 minutes, he could tell that Vidya Balan had already decided to do the film. Anees Bazmee further added, "Nothing could be better than her comeback in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 after 17 years. She has done a beautiful job in the film." 

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will be released on Diwali

Talking about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, apart from Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Tripti Dimri, and Madhuri Dixit will be seen in the lead roles. The film will be released on Diwali, although its date has not been announced yet. The film is directed by Anees Bazmee, while it is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar, and Murad Khetani. The film is going to clash with Rohit Shetty's film Singham Again.
