In fact, Siddhant Karnik said in his latest interview, "In 2005, at the age of just 22, I had just started working in the industry. I met a coordinator who asked me for my portfolio and then called me to his house at 10:30 pm. I felt strange, but I decided to do it".

Describing the scenes at the coordinator's family home near Borivali, Siddhant Karnik recalled, "There were pictures of his family all around, and it seemed like a safe environment. But something was wrong. The coordinator discussed the norms of the industry and gave zero hints of compromising for career opportunities. He said, 'Kuchh agreement nahi karoge, tab tak kaam nahi aayega,' and I realised where this was heading." Karnik adds, "I was very young at that time, and despite all the family pictures, I didn't think much of it. But then, this guy came close to me, and that's when I said I am not interested in this kind of work, especially not through these mediums."

Many years later, Siddhant Karnik met the coordinator at a college event where he was invited as a celebrity guest. He said, "He came up to me and congratulated me. At that time, some of my TV shows were doing very well. I have understood that it is all about the vibe that a person gives off. They are not rapists, they are opportunities and if you don't give them opportunities, they won't come to you. Opportunists like him don't change. To bring about true change, one needs to change the way one reacts. Now, 20 years later, I am here today and doing my job with full honesty."
