Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha has made a lot of headlines with his recently released drama series 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack'. The series faced controversies as soon as it was released. Meanwhile, Anubhav Sinha has spoken openly about the failures of his last two released films Anek and Bheed.
Anubhav Sinha said this about the performance of films
Let us tell you that in a recent interview, Anubhav Sinha talked about being disappointed after his films did not perform as expected. He said, "It almost discourages you from making more films. It breaks your heart, breaks your spine. You lose confidence. You are almost encouraged not to make a film again. But then something else convinces you to do it again and then you look back and say, 'No, it's not a big deal, it's okay'".
The producer spoke on the failures of 'Anek' and 'Baandh'
Continuing his talk, the filmmaker said, "I had three consecutive hit films and then I had two films that did not work and that was also a strange time and I was making a dark film on the corona tragedy, Bheed, and in black-and-white, it did not work. It doesn't matter. As long as you are not ashamed of your film, as long as the people who participated with you in that film are not ashamed, you take it in your stride. When you read or write history, you turn a page, and you have gone ahead by a decade in the history of filmmaking, so don't take yourself so seriously". Anubhav Sinha also argued that if "you make 10 films and five of them are hits, you are doing well."
