Anurag Kashyap hits back at Vivek Agnihotri: Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri recently spoke about his experience of working with Anurag Kashyap in the 2007 film 'Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal'. He alleged that the team had to face difficulties due to Anurag Kashyap's alcohol addiction. Now filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has hit back at fellow filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri. Anurag has called this statement a lie and has given his side of the events.
Anurag Kashyap criticises 'liar' Vivek Agnihotri
For your information, let us tell you that today, on 14 May, Anurag Kashyap shared a screenshot of a news report on Instagram which gave details of what Vivek Agnihotri had said about him. The title of which was 'Anurag Kashyap was a drunkard who handed over the work to Vikram Motwane': Vivek Agnihotri said that working with the filmmaker had become difficult. Anurag wrote below the screenshot, "Kitna liar hai ye aadmi. The shooting took place in London. I was in India. He did not want the script from Motwane or me. He wanted to make Football Ki Lagaan and he got that poor script written by his own writer. Neither I nor Motwane ever visited the set. Stop pretending Vivekanohotri".

In fact, in a recent interview, Vivek Agnihotri claimed that Anurag Kashyap's drinking habits made the work environment challenging during the making of Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal. The producer said, "Anurag used to drink a lot at that time, so there was no account of his time, then he brought Vikramaditya Motwane, said that I have a son named RK, he will help. Gradually, all the work was given to Vikramaditya. What I was trying to make, these people had a different thinking, they wanted to make something else. It became difficult to handle Anurag. Because only an alcoholic knows what an alcoholic suffers. This became a big problem".
'Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal' was released in the year 2007
Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language sports drama film produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Vivek Agnihotri for UTV Motion Pictures. The film stars John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani. The film's soundtrack is composed by Pritam and lyrics are written by Javed Akhtar. The film did well at the box office.
