Arshad Warsi spoke on pay disparity in the industry
In a recent interview, Arshad Warsi was asked if he has a problem with the pay disparity in the Hindi film industry. Responding to this, Arshad said, "I think we should not get what we are getting. That is the problem. I think the pay scale has become so high that it has drawn a line between A and B. There are some actors who are earning a lot of money and the rest are having trouble paying them."
When the actor became the victim of Jaya Bachchan's anger
In the same interview, Arshad Warsi told how speaking openly is not liked in the film industry and how at the beginning of his career he became a victim of Jaya Bachchan's anger due to his outspoken behavior. He was not dressed properly at the airport and due to this Jaya scolded him.
Arshad Warsi was scolded because of this
Talking about this, Arshad Warsi said, "I was new to the film industry and my knowledge was zero. I came from a different world. During my first film 'Tere Mere Sapne', we had to go to Hyderabad to shoot. I was sitting on the flight wearing chaddi and vest. Earlier I used to roam around and dance like this. When Jaya ji came to know about this, I got a message - please tell Mr. Warsi to wear proper clothes while traveling".
Arshad Warsi had called Jaya Bachchan's film rubbish
Arshad Warsi continued his talk and narrated another incident. During that time Arshad Warsi had said something which Jaya Bachchan did not like. The actor said, "Once Jaya ji called me for a film. She used to call people and take their opinions. Jaya ji asked me how I liked it, I said- rubbish. Then she took me to a corner and said keep your opinion to yourself. This is the lesson I learned. I learned about the 'yes man' culture in the film industry. The truth should not be spoken, no matter how bad the film is".
