Ashok Pandit Nominated by FWICE for Mumbai Lok Sabha Seat

FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) has proposed the name of Chief Advisor Ashok Pandit for the candidature of Member of Parliament (MP) of North West constituency for the upcoming elections.

Let us tell you that FWICE President BN Tiwari has addressed Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis through a letter. In this letter, he has requested Ashok Pandit to give him the seat, listing not only his expertise in the film industry but also various reasons.

A part of the letter reads, “We have closely observed Pandit ji's dedicated and consistent work, not only as a member of the entertainment industry but also as a fellow citizen who has always been involved in social and public service. It is very rare to find a person who selflessly works for the greater good of the people. Our whole idea behind writing his name and endorsing him for the upcoming elections is that most of the employees of the film industry live in this constituency and as residents of this constituency we appreciate his tireless contribution to social and public issues."

The letter also states, Ashok Pandit helped the Kashmiri Pandits who faced migration in the 1990s. Let us tell you that he belonged to the same community. And this has also been mentioned in this letter. Regarding this, the letter said, “He was the one who knocked on the doors of Balasaheb (Thackeray) and Shiv Sena in the early 90s and sought help and support for the refugee Pandits in Maharashtra. It was his efforts that Pandit refugee children got reserved seats in educational institutions of Maharashtra."

In this letter, it has been written about his countless good deeds and it has also been written that it is not within everyone's power to do great work like him. Not everyone can lead like him in the work for the welfare of society. The letter said of Ashok Pandit, “A true nationalist and an ardent Mumbaikar at heart, he is a testament to what a person should be in public life. Having him as a representative will be a matter of confidence for the residents of this constituency, as he is a people person and has a connection with the common man.
