Avneet shares photo with Tom Cruise, speculation of Hollywood debut intensifies

Indian actress Avneet Kaur (23) recently took to Instagram to share an exciting moment with Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise (62), a meeting the rest of us can only dream of! The two actors met on the sets of Cruise's 8th Mission Impossible film, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, with the actress posting a series of photos and videos on social media documenting their conversation. In the clip, Avneet is seen talking to Cruise, folding her hands before shaking hands with the global icon, fuelling rumors and speculation about Avneet's possible involvement in the upcoming film.

Is Avneet Kaur making her Hollywood debut?

In her post, Avneet Kaur could not hide her happiness "I am still pinching myself! I got the incredible opportunity to visit the sets of the next Mission Impossible film starring the one and only Tom Cruise! It was awe-inspiring to witness the magic of filmmaking firsthand. Can't wait to share more about my experience," she wrote in the caption.

The actor also hinted at more details to come, giving his fans an update closer to the film's release date. "Stay tuned for updates closer to the release date, May 23, 2025," he said, tagging the official Mission: Impossible Instagram handle. Notably, the official Mission Impossible film account responded to his post with a comment: "Mission critical details will be made public soon," which further fuelled speculation that Avneet may have a role in the film.

After which the comments section was flooded with comments. "Avneet tum bhi Hollywood debut karlo abhi," wrote one comment. "The girl who has reached Hollywood...will do something big...," said another. "Avneet will soon become a Hollywood queen" was another fan's optimistic comment. "This is the coolest thing ever," commented another fan. If the rumors are true, Avneet will make her Hollywood debut in one of the most iconic action film series of all time. This will make her only the second Bollywood star to work in the Mission: Impossible franchise, after actor Anil Kapoor, who appeared in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011).

Avneet last represented India on the global stage at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, where she mesmerized with the traditional gesture of touching the ground as a symbol of reverence. The actor was there for the screening of Omung Kumar's Love in Vietnam, where she played the lead role opposite Shantanu Maheshwari.

Whether Avneet will officially join the cast of Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning or not remains to be seen. On November 11, the actor released the trailer of Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, which is the eighth installment of the beloved action franchise. The trailer was packed with high-octane stunts and edge-of-your-seat action.
