Finally, in the presence of his mentor Mahesh Bhatt and close buddy co-star  Pooja Bhatt,  veteran yet evergreen director-actor Deepak Tijori released the much-anticipated trailer of his upcoming glamour-sensual crime-thriller movie Tipppsy, was launched today at Cinepolis Theatre in Mumbai. The late afternoon launch event was attended by director Deepak Tijori, bevy of gorgeous lead model-actresses Alankrita Sahai, Natasha Suri, Kainaat Arora, Nazia Hussain, and Sonia Birje and talented actors Harjinder Singh and Mandeep Kaur Sandhu.

Personally, for me, it was a sentimental reunion with Mahesh Bhatt-saab, Pooja Bhatt, and Deepak Tijori whom I personally known for over past 30 years.  After watching the gripping trailer, the otherwise discerning Mahesh Bhatt instantly predicted that ‘Tipppsy’ will emerge a ‘Hit” when it releases in theatres on May 10.  !!  “That’s because ‘Tippsy”    has compelling thriller-content which is a heady cocktail of energy, vitality, crime glamour and oomph-sensuality”, is what Bhatt-saab justified.

 It was wonderful for me to catch-up with former Femina-Miss World-India the stunning Natasha Suri (who wearing a ‘mask’ all thru the event, as apparently for medical reasons she was currently concealing her lower face and chin). Also re-connected with the sharp-witted, candid, charming Nazia Hussain and tall, beautiful famous DJ-model-actress Sonia Birje who makes her movie-debut with ‘Tipppsy’.  The music-savyvy DJ Sonia (she is the talented daughter of popular Bollywood star-actor Hemant (‘Tarzan’) Birje has already done a remix of one of the ‘Tipppsy’ songs which goes ‘Ishq Zara’.

  

Actor-director Deepak’s mentor Mahesh Bhatt who launched him in  (‘Aashiqui’- 1990)  and close friend and co-star in several movies  Pooja Bhatt  ( ‘Pehla Nasha’ 1993 etc)  and rocked the glamour-studded event with their presence and  shock-value honest comments.. The honest, candid Pooja Bhatt said, “It’s ironic that ‘teetotaler’ Deepak Tijori is making a film called Tipppsy when he has not had a single drop of alcohol in his life! Whever I was tipsy after parties, Deepak was always my ‘sahaara’ companion. He would never judge me and would always drop me home. He would also clean up the mess and also remind me the next day that ‘Kal raat ko kya hua’. It’s a question I have asked a lot in my life. But those were the days. Now, I am fully sober and totally given up drinking since past seven and a half years. But yes, I am drunk and high on life. If Deepak wishes to direct a sequel to Tipppsy, I would love to act tipsy in one of the lead roles.” asserted Pooja Bhatt

The fast-paced glamorous crime-thriller film Tipppsy is a story of five adventurous glamorous young women who get themselves entangled in a crazy mess of a lifetime after they get tipsy ( drunk) during a ‘Bachelorette’ party hosted by ‘Pony’(Alankrita Sahai)  overnight celebration in  Goa. They wake up the next day with no memory of the events of the previous night. The shocking twist is when they find a ‘male dead body’ with lingerie shoved into his mouth,  in their outdoor swimming pool. Interestingly, co-producer-director Deepak Tijori has cast himself in the role of a stern grey-haired bearded senior police officer  ( Goa Police) who is investigating a serious crime. 

Movie Tipppsy is co-produced by  Raju Chadha along with Deepak Tijori. The other co-producers are Sanaa Khan, Anita Sharma, and Deepak Sharma, and is being released nationwide by Panorama Studios
