On April 14, 2024, a shooting incident occurred outside Salman Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartment. The Mumbai Police Crime Branch has since made significant arrests in connection with this case. A major revelation has now emerged regarding the shooting incident.
Bishnoi’s Contract and Payment to Hitmen
According to the charge sheet filed by the Mumbai Crime Branch, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi had put out a contract on Salman Khan’s life, paying six shooters Rs 20 lakh for the job. Additionally, a special court in Mumbai recently issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, who is currently imprisoned. A separate warrant was also issued for Rohit Godera, a reputed member of the Bishnoi gang.
Anmol Bishnoi and Rohit Godera on the Run
Following their naming in the charge sheet, Anmol Bishnoi and Rohit Godera have been on the run. In response, Maharashtra's Organized Crime Control Act (MCOCA) cases' special judge B.D. Shelke issued a non-bailable warrant for both individuals on July 27, 2024.
Anmol Bishnoi’s Motivational Speech to Hitmen
It was previously reported that Anmol Bishnoi delivered a nine-minute “motivational” speech to the shooters before the attack on Salman Khan’s residence. The charge sheet, filed by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch, details that Anmol instructed shooters Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal to perform the job “well” and assured them it would "make history." He emphasized that they should carry out the job without fear and avoid wearing helmets or smoking, so they appeared fearless. The speech was delivered via an audio message.
Salman Khan’s Statement
In April 2024, Salman Khan reported that shots were fired outside his Galaxy Apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang is behind this attack, with Anmol Bishnoi claiming responsibility through a Facebook post. Salman Khan expressed his certainty that Lawrence Bishnoi orchestrated the shooting with his gang members while his family was asleep, intending to kill them.
