Bobby Deol will be seen in Anurag Kashyap's next thriller film!

This year has been good for Bobby Deol. The Bollywood star is stepping into South Indian cinema with roles in Suriya's much-awaited Tamil fantasy epic, 'Kanguva' as well as Pawan Kalyan's Telugu period action film, 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu'. He will be seen playing the role of a villain in a spy thriller of Yash Raj Films along with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh. As if that's not thrilling enough, Bobby has recently signed on to work on a mysterious and compelling project with Anurag Kashyap.

Bobby and Anurag Team Up for Intriguing Thriller

A recent report from PeepingMoon suggests that Bobby and Anurag are collaborating on a serious thriller. The film's story, based on a true story of a man wrongly implicated in a rape case, has generated a lot of buzz despite being kept under wraps. Adapted from an unpublished book by Anurag and two other writers, the project is a long-awaited partnership between the actor and the director. Production is scheduled to begin in May, with most of the filming taking place in Mumbai.

Bobby and Anurag's Long-Awaited Collaboration Sparks Excitement

Excitement is building as Bobby and Anurag are excited about their collaboration. Their mutual admiration dates back to 2017 when they first discussed working together. Finally, the opportunity came when Anurag presented this intense script fulfilling their shared desire to create something impactful. Starring an ensemble cast, the film is expected to be on a larger scale than Anurag's recent works. As the director is handling this project, he has also said that he is developing a web series for a major streaming service.

On Bobby's part, this project adds to his already packed schedule for the year. Along with his South Indian and pan-Indian ventures, he is set to be seen in Aryan Khan's debut web series, 'Stardom' and Kunal Kohli's investigative drama, 'Desi Sherlock'. Apart from this, his Abbas-Mustan thriller, 'Penthouse' will also be released.

Recognized as one of the finest actors in the film industry, Bobby Deol has acted in many films including Barsaat, Soldier, etc. Due to continuous flop films, he had taken some time off from the film industry, but he made a remarkable comeback with the film Animal directed by the director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. He played the role of Abrar Ul Haq in Animal and received appreciation despite limited screen time.
