Fans were so enthusiastic about the film that early morning shows were scheduled for 7:30 a.m. across the country. However, due to technical glitches and delays in content delivery in several cities, these shows had to be canceled at the last minute, leaving theater audiences deeply disappointed.
Why were the morning shows of 'Border 2' cancelled?
A senior trade expert said, "If the content isn't available by midnight, it's difficult to have morning shows." According to the report, a WhatsApp message from UFO Movies stated that downloading would begin at 6:30 am. Because the film is 192 minutes long, it could take 3 to 4 hours to be ready for screening. Therefore, shows scheduled for 8 and 9 pm were cancelled at many locations.

The new schedule of the show has been released.
According to a report confirmed by Hindustan Times, following this issue, most locations decided to move the film's first show to 10 a.m. This incident proved to be a major setback amid widespread anticipation and fan excitement for the film.

Despite this initial setback, the film's advance bookings have performed remarkably well. According to box office tracker SacNilk, over 400,000 tickets were sold by opening day. Opening day gross advance bookings were approximately ₹125 million (approximately ₹125 million), including contributions from premium formats like IMAX, 4DX, and Dolby Cinema. Interestingly, advance bookings increased from ₹60 million (approximately ₹120 million) in just 12 hours, demonstrating audience enthusiasm for the film.

"Border 2" is slated to release on January 23, 2026. It is touted to be India's biggest war film to date. "Border 2" is being produced by the powerful production team of Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta.
