Founder-organizer-veteran movie producer Ayub Khan ( not the star-actor) made an official declaration of the upcoming CineDreams International Film Festival-2024 at the PVR Icon Theater in Mumbai. Present at the event were showbiz media-veterans Ayub Khan, Sayeed Ahmad, producer-director Mehul Kumar, Dr. Yogesh Lakhani (Bright Outdoor Media), Shhyam R. Singhania, movies director Jay Prakkash Shaw and news media-veteran Parag Chhapekar, along with many other distinguished personalities.
Dynamic Ayub Khan, the founder and organizer of this CineDreams film festival was also joined by Sayeed Ahmad. This festival is a completely new and unique initiative where entries from every language and era will be accepted for the film competition, and winners will be awarded cash prizes along with certificates.
On this launch occasion, various veteran film-journalists like Chaitanya Padukone and senior photo-journalists like Sunil Khandare were formally honoured on stage by eminent veteran writer-film-maker Mehul Kumar . The modest writer-director Mehul Kumar is known for his landmark entertainer super-hit movies with strong social or patriotic message like Krantiveer, Kohraam, Tirangaa, Marte Dam Tak, and of course later on films like ‘Mrityudaata and Jaago.
What's especially notable is that the board of directors for this festival includes prominent senior names such as Pahlaj Nihalani, Shhyam R. Singhania, lyricist Sameer Anjaan, Rais Ahmad, Zarina Wahab, and Qauiser Khalid. Additional eminent jury members for this festival include Mehul Kumar, Komal Nahta, Sanjay Masoom, Jitendra Vats, Subhash Salu, Parag Chapekar, Rajeev Varma, Suttlej Dheer, Saikat Das, Tushar Tharot, director KS Adyaman, Seema Pahwa, Atul Mohan, and Anil Dubey. Today, the website for this film festival was also launched.
Known for his frank honesty, Mehul Kumar pointed out that since the recent past, most film productions, film-festivals and film-awards events have apparently become more like a commercial money-making business. But in the case of CineDreams FilmFest organizer Ayub Khan, his intentions are evidently noble and honest without any hidden motives and he aims mainly to recognize, encourage, appreciate and honour national and international outstanding film-makers and brilliant performance talents of on-screen star-cast,” said Mehul Kumar amidst loud applause.
Veteran yet evergreen impresario Ayub Khan, who has been part of the Hindi film industry for the past four decades as a producer, director, writer, and distributor, stated that this unique film festival will be held at the Juhu PVR Cinema in Mumbai on May 28th and 29th, 2024, with prestigious awards being presented on the finale day May 30th. Ayub-bhai expressed his lifelong passion for films and considers them his everything. Due to his love for films and filmmakers, he's organizing this film festival, where good films and those involved in their creation will be appreciated. His goal is not to make money from this film festival but to bring better cinema to the audience and honor those who make it.
All the eminent guests, including Mehul Kumar, Dr. Yogesh Lakhani, and Shyyam Singhania, praised Ayub Khan's dynamic vision and promised their full support for this upcoming CineDreams festival.
