Dhurandhar's story (Dhurandhar Plot)

The film's story is inspired by the 1999 IC-814 plane hijacking and the 2001 attack on the Indian Parliament. The story begins with Ajay Sanyal (R. Madhavan), the head of an Indian intelligence agency, who plans to dismantle a terrorist and underworld network operating in Pakistan. To do this, he needs a young man with no identity and who is involved in a crime. His search leads him to Hamza (Ranveer Singh), a 20-year-old man from Punjab who is in prison. Hamza receives special training and is sent to Pakistan for the mission. In Pakistan, Hamza encounters the dangerous underworld of Lyari, where he must deal with dangerous figures like gangster Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna) and Karachi's Superintendent of Police, Chaudhry Aslam (Sanjay Dutt). The first half of the film explores the world of gangsters, crime, and violence, while the second half is filled with espionage, deceit, and intrigue.

Dhurandhar Shooting took place here

The shooting of "Dhurandhar" spanned several months and various locations. The film began with the first schedule in Bangkok in July 2024, after which the team moved to the Golden Temple in Amritsar in November 2024. Filming continued at Filmistan Studios in Mumbai in February 2025, with another schedule completed in Mud Island by the end of April 2025. In May 2025, extensive action scenes were shot on the Dombivili-Mankoli Bridge. A dance number was filmed at the Golden Tobacco Factory in Vile Parle in July 2025. Several scenes set in Pakistan were recreated in Thailand and Khera village in Ludhiana, Punjab. The team arrived in Ladakh in August 2025, but shooting had to be halted when over a hundred crew members fell ill with food poisoning. Subsequently, key scenes were filmed in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, in September 2025. Ranveer Singh finally completed his part in October 2025 and the entire shoot of the film was also completed in the same month.
