Diljit Dosanjh challenged the government to ban alcohol

Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is in the news these days for his live concert 'Dil-Luminati Tour'. Through this concert, the singer is performing in many states. Diljit's concert was in Hyderabad on November 15, due to which the Telangana government sent him a notice. It was said in the notice that Diljit will not sing any song during his concert that promotes alcohol. Meanwhile, after the Telangana government sent a notice not to sing songs promoting alcohol, Diljit Dosanjh has given a big challenge to the state governments.

Speaking to the crowd, Diljit shared, "Even today I will not sing any song on alcohol. This is because Gujarat is a liquor ban state." The singer emphasized that there are more devotional songs in his work than songs based on alcohol. Diljit said, "I have sung dozens of devotional songs. In the last 10 days itself, I have released two devotional tracks, but no one talks about it. On TV, everyone is focusing only on "Patiala Peg"."

After this, Diljit Dosanjh challenged the government and said, "I will not even sing those songs. It is easy for me to make changes in the songs, brother. Also, I do not drink alcohol myself. Bollywood celebrities promote alcohol in advertisements, but I don't. Don't tease me. I quietly do my program and leave. Let's start a movement - if all the states ban alcohol completely, I will never sing a song on alcohol in my entire life. Is it possible? During Covid, everything was closed except liquor shops. You cannot fool the youth. If not completely banned, then at least declare a dry day in your state on the day of my performance and I will not sing any song related to alcohol".

Diljit praised the Gujarat government

Praising the Gujarat government's liquor ban policy, he said, "If liquor is banned here, I am a fan of the Gujarat government. I openly support them for this. If liquor shops are closed across the country, I will stop singing songs about liquor".

Diljit Dosanjh had expressed disappointment

Let us tell you that in his concert in Hyderabad, Diljit expressed his disappointment over the censorship imposed by the government on his songs. Compared with international artists, he said, "When artists come to India from other countries, they are allowed to do whatever they like, sing whatever song they want.
