The singer recently dedicated his musical concert held in Guwahati to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh (Dr Manmohan Singh). Along with this, Diljit Dosanjh also praised the late Prime Minister Diljit Dosanjh.
Diljit Dosanjh pays tribute to the late Manmohan Singh

During the concert, Diljit said, "Today's concert is dedicated to former late Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. In the video, Diljit paid tribute to Manmohan Singh. Talking about the simplicity of the former politician, Diljit said, "If I look at his life journey, he has lived such a simple life. Even if someone spoke badly about him, he never replied back. Diljit Dosanjh recited the poetry of the late Prime Minister
He then recited a Shayari (poetry) said by Manmohan Singh. He said, "Hazaaron Jawaab O Se Meri Khamoshi Achchi, Najaane Kitne Sawalon Ki Aabroo Raakhe." It translates to - My silence is better than thousands of answers, it has saved the dignity of many questions." He said this is something that the youth, including himself, should learn.
Diljit said this about the youth
He said, "I think today's youth should learn this, I should also learn. We should focus on our goals. No matter what anyone says, your focus should be completely on your goal. Because the one who is speaking ill of you is also a form of God, and it is a test to see how you react to it". Diljit further said that Manmohan Singh was the first Sikh to have inscribed his signature on the Indian currency. Sharing the video of his tribute to the former PM, Diljit Dosanjh wrote, "Today's concert is dedicated to Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji Dil-Luminati Tour Year 2024". Reacting to Diljit's video, a fan wrote, "Ek hi dil hai, paaji, kitne baar jeetege? Pyaar hi pyaar, samman hi samman!" While another fan commented, "Indirect reply to AP Dhillon", referring to the singer's feud with AP Dhillon.
Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh died on 26 December
Manmohan Singh died on Thursday, 26 December 2024 in Delhi at the age of 92 after a prolonged illness. His political career spanned several decades, including several notable positions including Finance Minister from 1991 to 1996. He served as the 13th Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014, succeeding Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
