Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh introduced his family to his family during a music concert in Manchester on Saturday. In a video going viral on social media, Diljit is seen bending down and hugging an elderly woman. Not only this, the singer also held the elderly woman's hand and told the audience, 'This is my mother'. When he hugged the elderly woman again, his mother's eyes filled with tears. After this, Diljit then bowed to another woman and shook hands with her. The singer said, 'She is my sister and my family has come here today". Diljit started staying away from his family since childhood

Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has always kept his family away from the limelight, even avoiding discussing them during interviews. During an interview, Diljit talked about his childhood. He revealed that his relationship with his parents ended when his parents sent him to live with his uncle at the age of 11. The singer said, "I was eleven years old when I left my house and started living with my uncle. I left my village and came to the city. I went to Ludhiana". Diljit's mother said to the singer's parents, 'Send him to the city with me' and my parents said, 'Yes, take him.' My parents did not even ask me. I lived alone in a small room. I only went to school and came back, there was no TV. I had a lot of time. Also, we didn't have mobile phones at that time, so if I had to call home or receive a call from my parents, we had to spend money. So I started getting away from my family."

While talking about his parents, Diljit Dosanjh had said, "I respect my mother a lot. My father is a very sweet person. He did not ask me anything. He did not even ask which school I studied from. But my relationship with him broke. Not only with him, but with everyone".

Diljit will perform in Delhi on October 26

After his international tour, Diljit Dosanjh is all set to kick off the Indian leg of his tour this October. The tour will kick off on October 26 at the famous Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. After Delhi, he will be performing in several major cities including Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh and Guwahati.
