Dino Morea Appears Before ED in Mithi River Scam, to Answer Desilting Case Queries

Dino Morea arrives at ED: Bollywood actor Dino Morea is in the news these days regarding the Mithi River Desilting Scam Case. Recently, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the actor's house regarding this scam. At the same time, now reports are coming that Dino Morea appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Not only this, the actor looked comfortable while entering the ED office and was seen smiling in front of the cameras.

Let us tell you that in the video shared by ANI, Dino Morea is seen entering the ED office. The actor reached the federal agency's office located at Ballard Estate at around 10:30 am. In the video, the actor, wearing a white shirt and jeans and with a backpack, looked confident and smiled for the cameras before going inside, although he did not interact with the media. 

ED searches properties of Dino Morea

Earlier, on June 6, the ED conducted searches at more than 15 locations in Mumbai, Kochi and Kerala, including Dino's property in Bandra West. According to official sources, premises linked to his brother Santino, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials and some contractors were also searched.

What is the whole matter?

For your information, let us tell you that this investigation is being conducted by the ED under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The ED case stems from an FIR registered by the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police in May, alleging an alleged scam of Rs 65.54 crore in tenders given for cleaning the Mithi River during 2017-2023 against 13 people, including contractors and civic officials. The Mithi River flows through Mumbai and serves as a stormwater drainage channel for the metro city.

In this case, last month, Mumbai Police questioned Dino Morea and his brother for their alleged links with middleman Ketan Kadam and accused Jai Joshi. In 2021, the ED seized Dino's property as part of a money laundering investigation linked to an alleged bank fraud case against Gujarat-based pharmaceutical company Sterling Biotech and its promoters.
