Director Reveals Why Neha Kakkar's Name Changed in 'Stree 2'

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao's starrer film 'Stree 2' is making a lot of noise at the box office. The audience likes every dialogue and comedy of the film. Now Stree 2 director Amar Kaushik recently revealed why the CBFC members replaced Neha Kakkar's joke with 'Sneha Kakkar' in the film.

The secret behind Neha Kakkar's name change in Stree 2 revealed

Let us tell you that in a scene of the film Stree 2, when Rajkumar Rao is trying to calm Aparshakti Khurana, he says, 'Stop crying, you are not Sneha Kakkar.' In such a situation, Amar Kaushik, in his recent interview, while explaining the reason for the CBFC members to replace Neha Kakkar's joke in the film with 'Sneha Kakkar', said, "The CBFC members said that such jokes can hurt. We felt that they were right and so we did not request them to retain the dialogue. Anyway, people understood".

The film director said this about his writing style

Along with this, Amar Kaushik further said, "When you write comedy, you make such jokes. Like when you are sitting with friends, you make such comments. This is where the fun lies. Writer Niren Bhatt and I had intended to move forward in the same way as people find humor in their lives. We don't joke. We hate the word 'gag'! When someone says 'Let's add a gag', I say 'I don't want a gag'. For me, a gag is like vomiting!"

Amar Kaushik praised the CBFC members

Amar Kaushik said, "The CBFC members we met this time were intelligent and sensible. They listened to us. We could have made many cuts. They told us, 'Yes, there is a problem with this dialogue, but if we cut it, it will affect the story and we know you added it for this-and-this reason. So, we will not censor it'. I was surprised. We were prepared for a lot of dialogues to be cut.

The film Stree 2 is making a splash at the box office these days. According to the initial trend report of Sakanilk, 'Stree 2' has collected 20 crores on the 7th day of its release i.e. on the first Wednesday. With this, the total collection of 'Stree 2' in India in 7 days has now become Rs 275.35 crores. The film 'Stree 2' is directed by Amar Kaushik. It is produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films. Talking about the star cast of the film, apart from Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi are attracting people. Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia have earned a lot of praise by playing special roles in it.
