Don 3 latest update: Farhan Akhtar Breaks Silence – Here's What He Said About the Film!

After the success of Don and Don 2, actor-director Farhan Akhtar is all set to rock the big screen with Don 3. In the third installment of the film (Don 3), Ranveer Singh will be seen in the role of Don, while Kiara Advani will play the role of Junglee Billi in the film. Meanwhile, director Farhan Akhtar has shared the latest update regarding the shooting of the film Don 3.

For your information, let us tell you that after Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, fans are eagerly waiting to see Ranveer Singh taking the Don franchise forward. Don 3 was first announced in 2023 and since then many reports have said that the production has been halted. At the same time, now director Farhan Akhtar has broken his silence on this matter. Talking about Don 3, Farhan Akhtar said, "I am not avoiding any question. Don 3 is starting this year, and 120 Bahadur will be released at the end of the year".

The makers shared a post when the film got delayed

For your information, in November last year, production house Excel Entertainment released a note to clear the air about the delay, which read: "The producers and Ranveer Singh are unanimous that the timeline for Don 3 will remain unchanged. Any such news of postponement is not true. Along with the timeline, the mandate for Don 3 remains ambitious - to deliver a cinematic spectacle that maintains the legacy of the franchise while setting new standards".

Fans expressed disappointment over casting Ranveer instead of Shahrukh in Don 3

Farhan Akhtar surprised everyone last year by releasing a teaser of the film Don 3 and confirming that Ranveer Singh will be the new Don. Many were disappointed with the announcement and netizens urged the filmmaker to bring back Shah Rukh. Later in an interview, Farhan Akhtar broke his silence on the criticism he received for replacing Shah Rukh Khan in Don 3. He said, “I am really excited to start it. I mean Ranveer is amazing. He is great for the role. As you can imagine, he is really excited and really nervous too, about the fact that you are replacing some big people before you. But when Shah Rukh did it we went through the same emotional process and everyone was like 'Oh my god, how can you replace Mr Bachchan?' This whole thing happened then”.

Talking about Don 3, the first look of the film was shared last year. The teaser starts with an apartment in front of the breathtaking skyline of a city, in which Ranveer Singh's voice comes from the background, "Sher, when will the one who is sleeping wake up, everyone asks this. Tell them that I have woken up again and then come out quickly". Fans got very excited after watching this teaser. Apart from Ranveer, Kiara Advani will also be a part of Don 3. This film will hit the theaters in 2025.
