The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday raided the Mumbai residence and office of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's husband and businessman Raj Kundra. The raid was conducted in connection with the money laundering investigation against him related to the porn network case. According to officials, the agency is also searching the premises of Kundra's associates.

Let us tell you that Raj Kundra was arrested in June 2021 for allegedly making pornographic films. He later got bail in September 2021 after spending two months in jail. Mumbai Police officials have said that Kundra was the main conspirator in the case. The network was exposed after the Mumbai Police busted a pornography racket in February 2021, leading to the arrest of five persons. Further investigation resulted in four more arrests over time. However, the case suffered a setback due to a change of leadership within the Mumbai Police.

In June 2024, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch resumed its investigation and found the involvement of Hotshots, an app owned by Raj Kundra's company. A search operation was then conducted and officials said that adult content was found on the seized servers. During the bail plea hearing, Kundra's lawyer argued that neither he nor his IT head, Ryan Thorpe -- who was also arrested -- were responsible for deciding what content to upload on the platform. However, the Mumbai Police said they had sufficient evidence against Kundra.
