The first melodious devotional song dedicated to revered 'Gau-Mata' of the new film ‘Godan’is sung by eminent brilliant star-singerShaanbacked by chorus-vocalscomposed and arranged by talented Hriju Roy and isbeing recorded at SoundideaZ Studio(Mumbai) tomorrow.The formidable technical –crew team of the film will also be announced on that date. When I was creatively struggling to turn GODAN into a grand cinematic narration, I was haunted by Mehboob's MOTHER INDIA which is also a powerful tale of a poor farming couple played by Nargis and Raajumar.

 It dawned upon me that our latest GODAN of 2024 has to be a worthy tribute to MOTHER INDIA ( 1957). The magic of cinema is that it can be aesthetically opulent even while narrating a tale of abject poverty. MOTHER INDIA is a supreme example of that.
