Hrithik Roshan wrote this while tweeting

Hrithik Roshan tweeted, "Yes, we need to evolve into a society where we all feel equally safe. But that will take decades. Hopefully, this will be possible only by sensitizing and empowering our sons and daughters. The next generations will be better. We will get there. Eventually. But what about in the meantime? Right now, justice must come to a scathing end to such atrocities. And the only way to do that is to give punishment that is so severe that it instills fear in such criminals. That's what we need. Maybe? I stand with the victim's family in demanding justice for their daughter and I stand with all the doctors who were attacked last night."

Kriti Sanon pleaded for justice

Kriti Sanon shared a post on Instagram on Thursday, August 15, 2024, writing, "While we celebrate our 78th year of Independence and feel proud of how far we as a country have come on a global stage, it breaks my heart to see that women are still not safe in their own country. People who commit these inhumane acts have absolutely no fear. And even today, the woman is being blamed for being the victim. Until justice is swift, punishment is harsh and most importantly, better upbringing is in place, nothing will change. Are we really free when our basic safety is in question??" She captioned the post, "Heavy heart and angry soul. Didn't feel like wishing you on Independence Day today."

The preliminary post-mortem report has indicated sexual assault before her murder. I hope the case is handed over to the CBI for a thorough investigation and the attacker is given the harshest punishment."

Navya Naveli Nanda shared the message

Navya Naveli Nanda shared a message. The Instagram post reads, "Another horrific rape has happened in front of our eyes. First and foremost, let us pray for her and her family. Women have always played a very important role in the development of our country. The workplace, classroom and home should be an enabling and safe space for us. Men and women need to unite against mindsets and belief systems that constantly objectify women or consider them easy prey." "Where we go out at night or what we wear is not an indication of how we have the right to live our lives. And for that, we should not live in constant fear or threat. While nothing can compensate for the pain and suffering that the doctor suffered that day, we need to take concrete steps to ensure that this never happens again. Whether it is enforcing strict laws or creating safety protocols - immediate steps must be taken. We deserve better than this. We will continue to fight for better. Because nothing and no one can ever take away the freedom and dignity of women."
