Founded on 13th April 1967 by Sardar Singh Suri Ji, who led the Gurudwara as President and Founder for 45 years, the institution has grown into one of Mumbai’s most revered Sikh places of worship. Carrying forward his noble legacy, his son Sardar Jaspal Singh Suri has been serving as President for the past 10 years, while now, his grandson Maninder Singh Suri has also taken charge of day-to-day operations and community initiatives.

Every year, over one lakh devotees visit the Gurudwara during Guru Nanak Jayanti, making it one of the most visited Sikh shrines in Mumbai. The Four Bungalows Gurudwara stands apart as the only Gurudwara in the city where Langar (community meal) is served twice daily, 365 days a year, feeding more than 2,000 people daily. On Sundays, the number rises to over 5,000, and this Guru Nanak Jayanti (5th November), an estimated 70,000 devotees will partake in the Langar and Prasad.

The Gurudwara has also extended its spirit of Seva (selfless service) beyond Mumbai. Under the leadership of Maninder Singh Suri, the Gurudwara has adopted three flood-affected villages in Punjab, providing essential support like seeds, diesel, and marriage assistance to families in need.

Over the years, the world’s best Kirtaniyas (devotional singers) have performed at Four Bungalows Gurudwara, enriching the spiritual experience of thousands of devotees.

The management warmly invites everyone to join in the celebrations, experience the divine kirtan and langar, and support the Gurudwara’s ongoing social welfare initiatives.
