Gorgeous Zanai Bhosle’s ‘historic' acting debut announced at grandma iconic Asha Bhosle’s emotion-packed biggest concert “Asha@90”! By Chaitanya Padukone

Already an estimated over nine thousand audience-spectators-music-lovers and ardent loyal Fans seemed emotionally moved and delighted.. That’s when legendary indefatigable melody-queen Asha Bhosale ( despite her 90 years age) enthralled them with her ‘live’ selected wide-variety of nostalgic evergreen retro-melodies spanning over past 80 years and with her ad-lib dancing, bit of magic and wearing ‘kaala chashma’ . This melodious ASHA@90 ‘Woh Phir Nahin Aate’  ‘live’ non-stop mega-event produced by famous  impresario Vishal Gargote ( Morya Entertainment) and sponsor-supported by the HSBC Bank, was held at the open-air Jio World Garden at BKC Mumbai Which had live performers like the super-talented singer-mimic Sudesh Bhosle,  fabulous actress-dancer Zanai Bhosle  and a live orchestra conducted by rhythm-maestro Nitin Shankar and the live event brilliantly compered on stage by celeb RJ Anmol Sood.

Historic Announcement: Zanai Bhosle to Star in 'The Pride of Bharat'

At this historic event yet another cinematic history was created! That’s when eminent handsome prolific Bollywood producer Sandeep Singh ( who was also associated with Sanjay Leela Bhasali) came on the stage. In the presence of madame Asha Bhosle Sandeep made a sensational announcement. That he had decided to cast the charming talented photogenic Zanai Bhosle (the grand-daughter of legendary Asha Bhosle ) in his upcoming mega-film  ‘The Pride of Bharat - Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’,as the female lead, with which he would be also be making his ‘directorial big-screen debut’ as well. It was observed by a large number of people in the audience, that 21-plus age beautiful light-eyed Zanai has this striking facial similarity to a young version of top star-actress Kajol, during her initial career in movies like   ‘Baazigar and DDLJ.

Even Zanai’s young regular make-up artiste Jyoti Saluja also feels that there is some resemblance to Kajol and that it was indeed a great moment for Zanai and all of the Bhosle family fans.  “Zanai  would definitely love to explore every kind of versatile roles as an actor-dancer in her career journey,”, added Jyoti Saluja.|  

The zestful Zanai who seemed emotionally overwhelmed ( "feels so surreal") and in joyous tears on stage, will be seen playing the role of Shivaji Maharaj's wife, Rani Sai Bhonsale in the theatrical film directed by producer Sandeep Singh

 

Sandeep Singh Excited to Launch Zanai Bhosle in 'The Pride of Bharat'

Reacting to the news-media, Sandeep said: "Feel so honoured and absolutely privileged to be launching Zanai Bhosle, who is a descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's family lineage and also shares her lineage with super-brilliant and illustrious Bhosle family, with the late legendary Lata-Didi Mangeshkar, being her grand-aunt and being Asha Bhosle's granddaughter. Photogenic  Zanai is a gifted singer, a trained classical dancer and a natural performer .She will do full justice to the character of Rani Sai Bai. As Shivaji Maharaj's wife, Rani Sai Bai had contributed immensely to his growth as a king and a human being,” informed ‘director’ Sandeep Singh who in the past has  produced or co-produced several landmark historic movies such as ‘Mary Kom’, Sarabjit, PM Narendra Modi  and currently Swatantrya Veer Savarkar

The proposed historic epic film, presented by Immerso Studio and Legend Studios, is expected to release during an appropriate historic-sentiments occasion in early 2026.
