However, media reports say that the success of Ground Zero largely depends on the initial publicity and not on its opening numbers.

Emraan Hashmi appeared in Karan Johar's web series Ground Zero after Showtime. The film also stars Sai Tamhankar, Mukesh Tiwari and Zoya Hussain in lead roles. It has been released in theaters on 25 April. Backed by Excel Entertainment, the film offers an emotionally gripping story as well as intense, high-octane action. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, Ground Zero also stars Sai Tamhankar in a supporting role.

Ground Zero is the story of a brave soldier. The year is 2001. Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey (Emraan Hashmi) is a BSF Deputy Commandant posted in Kashmir. The 'Pistol Gang' has become quite active in Srinagar. It brainwashes misguided college-going students and incites them to kill soldiers. They are paid Rs 5000 for every soldier killed. While gathering information about them, the BSF finds out that a major attack is being planned by the trainers of the 'Pistol Gang'. Narendra is able to correctly guess that the attack is being carried out to target a high-profile minister. He then takes the Chief Minister of Kashmir to a safe house. But sadly, he misplaces the location of the attack. The attack is planned for Delhi and it takes place in Parliament on December 13, 2001. The attack is claimed by Jaish-e-Mohammed and a message is sent to news channels by its leader Ghazi Baba taking responsibility. Ghazi Baba is a mysterious figure; neither the army nor the Intelligence Bureau knows of his whereabouts or his appearance. Nevertheless, Narendra continues to search. Luckily, he comes across a poor-minded young man named Hussain (Mir Mehrooz). He tries to kill Narendra, but the latter stops him from doing so and helps him change his path. This young boy helps Narendra in providing crucial information. But the challenges persist.
Emraan Hashmi will be seen in 'Awarapan 2'
Talking about the work front, after the film 'Ground Zero', Emraan Hashmi will be seen in two Telugu films, OG and G2. Apart from this, the actor will be seen in the film 'Awarapan' 2. The film 'Awarapan 2' is all set to release in theaters on 3 April 2025.
