Famous actor and TV host Shekhar Suman joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of party leader Vinod Tawde at the party headquarters in Delhi on Tuesday. The actor met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Tawde, and Anil Baluni, to include him in the party. Thanked BJP leadership including JP Nadda and Anurag Thakur
Came forward with a positive mindset
Shekhar said, “Till yesterday I did not know that I would be sitting here today because many things in life happen knowingly or unknowingly.” Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Suman said, “I have come here with a very positive mindset. And I want to thank God that he ordered me to come here."
Lost to BJP in the 2009 election
Continuing the talk, the actor said, “A person depends a lot on his words and after a time words have no importance because there is a difference between saying and doing. I can sit here and give speeches as long as I want. , But if I don't do any work, it won't matter.'' This is not the first step into politics for the TV and film actor. In 2009, Shekhar Suman contested the Lok Sabha seat from Patna Sahib under the Congress banner, but lost against Bollywood actor and BJP candidate Shatrughan Sinha, and finished third in the election.

Shekhar Suman has recently acted in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, which has become a very famous series on Netflix. Let us tell you that Suman played the character of Zulfikar Ahmed in Heeramandi. Talking about his experience of working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the actor said, “As an artist, you get the pleasure of working with a famous director. I wish I got a chance to work with him, but at every step, every path a person learns something, so I feel that when I started this work in Heeramandi, doing one scene was enough for me because in this Being visible in the environment and doing something is a big thing in itself.
