The prestigious IIFA Awards, one of the biggest celebrations of Hindi cinema, were held this year in Jaipur. After winning the Best Actress award for Laapataa Ladies, Nitanshi Goyal expressed, “I did not expect this. I was confident that Laapataa Ladies would win big, but I didn’t think I would win personally. The other nominees were incredible, and I’m a huge fan of all of them. I’m truly overwhelmed by the love I’ve received.”

Nitanshi won the award by beating out powerhouse names like Alia Bhatt (Zigra), Katrina Kaif (Merry Christmas), Yami Gautam (Article 370), and Shraddha Kapoor (Stree 2).

Actor Ravi Kishan, who won the Best Supporting Actor award for Laapataa Ladies, spoke about his journey: “I went from being an actor to a politician. When I entered politics, I thought no one would give me work, but then Kiran Ma’am and Aamir Sir gave me a role in their film. I’m extremely grateful to them for that. I also want to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for encouraging me to serve the public both as an actor and a leader. I’ve tried to do just that.”
