I just did an advertisement for a gaming app, but later I realized that I should not have done it".

In fact, the FIR was registered after a complaint by businessman Phanindra Sarma. Vijay Deverakonda's name was also registered in the FIR along with several other prominent personalities. The complaint, filed on March 19 this year, highlights a disturbing trend of celebrities and influencers promoting illegal gambling apps, which violate the Public Gambling Act of 1867.

The FIR states that Rana Daggubati and Prakash Raj were associated with the promotion of Junglee Rummy, while Vijay Deverakonda supported A23, Manchu Lakshmi was associated with Yolo 247, Pranitha was associated with Fairplay, and Nidhi Agarwal was associated with Jeet Win.
