Illegal Betting Apps Case: South stars are seen getting into trouble. Actually, Telangana Police has filed FIR against 25 celebrities and influencers (FIR against 25 actor influencers) for promoting illegal betting (Illegal Betting Apps Case) and gambling apps through their social media platforms. These include popular celebrities like Rana Daggubati ( FIR against Rana Daggubati ), Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, and Lakshmi Manchu.

All the stars have been accused of promoting illegal gambling apps

For your information, let us tell you that the FIR against these popular stars was registered at Miyapur Police Station in Hyderabad (Telangana) after the petition of 32-year-old businessman Phanindra Sarma. The complaint filed on March 19 this year highlights a disturbing trend of celebrities and influencers promoting illegal gambling apps that violate the Public Gambling Act 1867.

According to the FIR, the accused stars and media influencers have been charged under Section 318(4), 112, (r/w) 49 of the Indian Justice Code, Section 4 of the Telangana State Gaming Act (TSGA), and Section 66-D of the Information Technology Act. These legal provisions relate to fraudulent activities, illegal gaming promotion,n and online fraud. The FIR states that Rana Daggubati and Prakash Raj were associated with the promotion of Junglee Rummy, while Vijay Deverakonda supported A23, Manchu Lakshmi was associated with Yolo 247, Pranitha was associated with Fairplay and Nidhi Agarwal was associated with Jeet Win.

Police are investigating the matter

The Telangana police have charged the accused under several sections of the TS Gaming Act and the IT Act, including Section 66 (D) of the Information Technology Act, which deals with fraud and identity theft. The FIR also includes sections related to promoting illegal betting activities, which is now being investigated by officer G Ramesh Naidu.

The police officer said this

Police inspector K. Kranthi Kumar of Miyapur police station said, "This investigation underlines our commitment to protect the public from harmful gambling and betting platforms that exploit individuals for financial gain". The police report names several celebrities and influencers who are accused of promoting illegal gambling apps, including Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, Lakshmi Manchu, Pranitha, Nidhi Agarwal, Ananya Nagella, Siri Hanumanthu, Sreemukhi, Varshini Sundararajan and many others.
