Let us tell you that Saira Banu's lawyer Vandana Shah broke her silence on this matter and shared that "A.R. Rahman's divorce has nothing to do with Mohini. Saira and Mr. Rahman took this decision themselves".

Lawyer Vandana Shah further spoke about AR Rahman and Saira Bano's divorce and said, "Every long marriage has its ups and downs, and I am extremely glad that if it has ended, it has happened in a respectful manner. Both Rahman and Saira will continue to support each other and wish each other the best." However, the lawyer refused to give the reason for Rahman and Bano's decision and said, "They are both extremely genuine, and this decision was not taken lightly. This is not what you would call a sham marriage." She also clarified that their divorce is 'amicable' and there has been no discussion on the financial aspect yet.

Rahman have made the difficult decision to separate from each other. This decision has been taken after emotional strain in their relationship. Despite their deep love for each other, the couple has found that the stress and difficulties have created a gap between them that neither party is able to bridge at this time. Mrs. Saira and her husband Mr. A.R. Rahman emphasize that they have taken this decision due to the pain and suffering they have been experiencing. Mrs. Saira and her husband Mr. A.R. Rahman request privacy and understanding from the public during this challenging time, as they go through this difficult chapter of their lives."
