Jaideep Ahlawat Rejects Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana: Bollywood actor Jaideep Ahlawat has made a distinct identity for himself in the film industry on the strength of his hard work and talent. He has been successful in settling into the hearts of the audience with his strong acting. At the same time, there were reports recently that the actor was also a part of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, in which Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are in the lead roles. But for some reason, Jaideep Ahlawat had to turn down this offer. Meanwhile, Jaideep Ahlawat has broken his silence on the rumors of Ramayana's casting and revealed that he is not doing the film.

Why did Jaideep Ahlawat turn away from Ramayana?

In fact, during his recent conversation, Jaideep said that he was indeed offered the role of Vibhishan in the film. Jaideep shared that since Vibhishan is the younger brother of Ravana, the makers needed someone whose dates matched with KGF star Yash, who is playing the role of Ravana in the film. The actor shared, "They needed a special timing because it is important to have Ravana along with Vibhishan... so the dates of the two actors had to match. I am sure Ravana's dates would be more important than mine".

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Rama in 'Ramayana', Sai Pallavi will be seen in the role of Sita, while Yash has confirmed that he will play the powerful Ravana. The film also stars Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sheeba Chaddha as Manthra, Arun Govil, and Indira Krishnan. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the first installment of Ramayana is set for a grand release on Diwali 2026, with the sequel releasing on Diwali 2027. Last year, fans got an exclusive glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi's transformation as Lord Rama and Goddess Sita when pictures were leaked from the sets of the film.

Jaideep Ahlawat will be seen in Shah Rukh Khan's film 'King'

Talking about the work front, Jaideep Ahlawat was last seen as a villain in Netflix and Siddharth Anand's 'Jewel Thief'. He is currently working in 'King' with Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, and Abhay Verma. The makers have decided to release the film King on Gandhi Jayanti next year i.e. October 2, 2026.
