Let us tell you that in his latest interview, Javed Akhtar advised the youth to avoid alcohol addiction and said, "I have wasted a lot of time by drinking alcohol. I was an alcoholic. I quit drinking on July 31, 1991. I think I have wasted at least 10 years just by drinking alcohol. I could have used that time for some other positive and creative work. I would advise the youth that if you drink alcohol, then leave it, because when I look at my life, I have not made any big mistake in my life without drinking alcohol".
Javed Akhtar regrets the failure of his first marriage
Javed Akhtar further said, "I regret the failure of my first marriage. It could have been saved. But it was my irresponsible attitude, my drinking habit. When you are drunk, you make impulsive decisions, you start fighting about some things that are not such a big deal. I have made all these mistakes". Not only this, in the third episode of his documentary series, Angry Young Men, Akhtar also addressed the failure of his first marriage, in which he said that Honey Irani is the only person in the world towards whom he feels guilty. He also admitted that if he had been more sensible at that time, many things would not have gone wrong.
