The actor said that he is the first outsider star to establish himself in Bollywood after Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar. He said, "I am alone here. It is a bit difficult for me to maintain myself. John Abraham remembers his struggling days
John Abraham further said that he prefers this over easy achievements. He said, "I still remember, when I started in the industry, I had only Rs 550 in my Bank of Maharashtra account. Just Rs 550 and my salary at that time was Rs 4,800. I am talking about 2003. Looking back at where I have come from, I just want to move forward on my own terms and live on my own terms. I don't need anyone's support. John Abraham is a different person, he is not anyone's friend or enemy".
The actor spoke about affordable lifestyle
Along with this, recently John Abraham said that he still lives an economical lifestyle. He said, "I don't want to create any wrong impression, but every piece of clothing I own can fit in a suitcase. I don't have many clothes, and I like to keep it simple. I usually wear slippers. I drive a pickup truck".
John's parents still use public transport
John Abraham further said that his elderly parents still use public transport. He said, "My mother is 74 years old and my father is 12 years older than her. He is 86 years old. Even today they have only a small car and they mostly travel by auto and bus. I am not saying this to create an image of anyone, but I have middle-class values and this is my biggest quality".
