John Abraham's Vedaa Box Office Collection Revealed: Here's the Total

Vedaa box office collection day 1: John Abraham's film 'Vedaa' was released in theaters on 15 August i.e. Independence Day. Directed by Nikhil Advani, the film received very positive reviews. According to industry tracker Sakanilak, the film Vedaa earned Rs 6.52 crore in the domestic market on the first day of its release. The film collected Rs 6.5 crore from its Hindi version. While it collected Rs 50-50 lakh in Tamil and Telugu regions. The budget of 'Vedaa'   is said to be Rs 60 crore.

Nikhil Advani thanked CBFC

Actually, director Nikhil Advani had given the reason for the delay in the certification of the film. Director Nikhil Advani said in an interview that he had anticipated a delay in certification due to the subject matter of the film Vedaa and thanked the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). He also said that the decision to release the film on August 15 instead of July 12 was taken deliberately by him and it has nothing to do with the CBFC.

The filmmaker shared his thoughts on the film Vedaa

While talking about the film Vedaa, Nikhil Advani said, "When I wrote the film and when I was making the film and editing it, I knew that there were certain elements that might be a little difficult in terms of what we were trying to say and what we were trying to do in the film. It is a very big, entertaining, large-scale commercial film, but at the heart of it, it is a difficult story. Vedaa's journey is a difficult journey." He further said, "But, I would really like to appreciate that when the CBFC's revising committee saw the film, they gave us a U/A certificate, because they believed that everyone should watch this film".

Talking about the story of the film Vedaa, it is about a young woman Vedaa (Sharvari Wagh) who dares to take on the challenge. Her fight for justice is inspired by the support of an ex-soldier (John Abraham) who becomes her shield and her weapon. Vedaa is produced by Zee Studios, Ramesh Kumar Baisami, Monisha Archives, Madhu Bhojwani, John Abraham.
