"My legendary father star lead actor-film-maker Joy Mukherjee had an excellent personality yet a docile nature and an innocence of a child.  He was kind,generous and a gentleman to the core who was liked by all his star-Heroines and Co stars. He was indeed a macho Man with a capital M. Someone who did not budge from his principles and values ---come what may".!

"Versatile hero Joy acted in numerous films and was adored and admired for his performances in films like Love in Simla, Humsaaya, Love in Tokyo, Ziddi, Shagird -and many more such films.  I remember each and every dialogues and his antics in films such as “Ek musafir Ek Hasina” and Musical hit “ Phir wohi dil laya hoon.. Always a caring husband and a loving father who also pampered my sister Simran, brother Monjoy and me with unlimited affectionate-bonding".

“ Every conversation, every handshake and every interaction fuels my passion to achieve more in life and become prosperous  and a better actor and filmmaker like my illustrious visionary founder-father Sashadhar Mukherjee.“ --These were the often-spoken words of my Father, the legendary actor and filmmaker Joy Mukherjee.

"My Father was my Hero, my source of Inspiration and a Guru who frequently inculcated in me the art of filmmaking, its intriguing intricacies and trails and tribulations.  He often told me to not to underestimate your self-virtues and the power of touch, a genuine smile, a kind word,  an honest compliment. All of  which have  a potential of turning a misfortune into a fortune."

"My dad Joy always stated that "problems were a part of life and facing them successfully was art of life".

"The way star-actor-hero Joy portrayed and emotionally expressed himself in evergreen retro romantic film-songs in  such as “Banda parwar thaam lo jigar, then Ley gayi dil gudiya Japan ki, then Aaja re aa zaraa, then Main pyar ka raahi hoon etc It seemed as if he dil-sey meant every lyrical playback word sung on-screen by him in them". 

 "I Sujoy Mukherjee dedicate all the prestigious Awards that I have won for making short films such as Ab Mujhe Udnaa hai Zindagi Anmol hai and Hunar to my Father -the one and only visionary Shri Joy Mukherjee. My mother Neelam-jee always stood as a strong support pillar to him.

It was somewhat filled by a story writer cum lyricist cum singer,Sunil Kapoor from Delhi-- who had an astonishing link with my father. My father invariably had saved his life in an accident that took place long time back in Mussoorie."

"Today, I am celebrating my famous Father’s 86th birthday on 24th February 2025 with sentimental gusto and joyful-aplomb. Joy Mukherjee saheb’s life was simply marvelous, outstanding, awesome and meaningful. I have inherited his genius genes and I intend to carry forward his rich legacy by producing and directing meaningful films.  Which will once again proudly hoist and unfurl the prestigious banner-flag of hallowed Filmalaya Studios in Bollywood !!
