Junaid Khan on Taking Over Aamir Khan Productions House

Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan has recently started his film career with the film Maharaj. His acting in the film has been highly appreciated. Junaid Khan recently told that his father Aamir Khan was in retirement and he asked him to take over Aamir Khan Productions. Junaid is now producing Pritam Pyare for the production house.

Junaid Khan said this about his father's retirement

In fact, recently Junaid Khan was asked about his decision to get into production so early in his acting career. He said, "Yes, I have done that. I have been behind the camera on film sets and on the sets of PK. I have also assisted in ad shoots. After we finished shooting for Maharaj, we worked on a film at AKP (Aamir Khan Productions). At that time, Kiran Rao was making Missing Ladies and Dad was going through this whole 'I am retiring' phase, and he also talked about it. He told me, 'I am retiring. Why don't you take over? So, that was the phase when I took over. I think I have a good understanding of production. It is probably one of the toughest things in filmmaking".

 Aamir Khan liked his son's film

During the interview, Junaid Khan was asked if Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta were nervous or worried about his debut. Answering this question, the actor said, "Not really. They were not worried, they were happy for me. They are not generally anxious people, because they have gone through all this and more. The fact that they were not worried helped me with everything that was going on with the film. They both loved it. Dad loved it. They are an easy audience because they go to watch something and want to enjoy it. My mother is difficult to please."

Aamir was tensed over the release of Junaid's debut film Maharaj

Recently, Aamir Khan hosted the success party of his son's film. During this, Aamir Khan admitted to feeling stressed before the release about the audience's reaction. During that time Aamir Khan said, "When Junaid's film Maharaj was released, I was very stressed whether people would like his work or not. Junaid Khan has worked really hard for himself and he never took any kind of help from me. So I am very proud and happy that he has made it in his own way on his own terms and you know and I can see this".
