Kalki 2898 AD trailer: Prabhas-Amitabh, Kamal, Deepika, Disha--a fascinating fusion of mytho with sci-fi--brought to life by ‘showman’ Nag Ashwin ! by Chaitanya Padukone

In a historic  ‘casting coup’ director-writer-visionary 'showman'  Ashwin Nag has cast together superstars Prabhas-Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan, Deepika Padukone and youth-icon star Disha Patani. This is in his upcoming mytho-sci-fi epic movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ which will release on Thursday June 27th 2024, in six languages !! The long-awaited tantalizing trailer of the upcoming sci-fi epic ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ was screened for select film-news-media yesterday afternoon . The trailer was finally unveiled yesterday on social media late evening with a phenomenal ''awe-some' response from viewers and fans !  Made on a Rs 600 Crore plus mega-budget,  the movie revolves around  the enigmatic divine figure of Kalki—the tenth and final avataar of  revered Lord Vishnu-Bhagwaan  

Offering a magnificent introduction to the ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ cinematic universe, is set in the sacred Hindu city of Kaashi ( Varanasi) the trailer, spanning two minutes and fifty-one seconds, the trailer allures audiences into a world of Indian mythology, complemented by top-notch sci-fi and VFX. The film’s trailer is also available in multiple languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and English.

In the phenomenal trailer, megastar Amitabh Bachchan brings to life the enigmatic Ashwatthama with unmatched intensity, showcasing his versatile action prowess. Meanwhile, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan ( as ‘Supreme Yaskin’) defies recognition in his intriguing shock-value looks character portrayal.

Elevating the excitement, Southside handsome heart-throb Prabhas as ‘Bhairava’, dominates the screen with his power-packed action and undeniable chemistry with the futuristic vehicle and his trusted best friend ‘Bujji’.

Further, ‘Pathaan’ mega-star Deepika Padukone  ( who is shown as ‘pregnant’ character —which has an incredible coincidence to her real-life pregnancy  ). Playing ‘Sumati—the mother of Hindu God  ‘Kalki’, Deepika adds depth to the narrative with a wide range of emotions in each frame.

Additionally, glam-hottie Disha Patani impresses with her action sequences. The trailer is filled with references to a ‘naya yug’ (new era) on the horizon and an impending battle.
