Kangana Ranaut targeted Ranbir's 'Animal', said- 'It promotes violence...'

Kangana Ranaut is currently making headlines for her upcoming film Emergency. The film is just a few days away from release. Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut criticized Sandeep Reddy Vanga's family crime drama Animal, released in 2023, in which Ranbir Kapoor played a violent, vengeful criminal.

Kangana said this about the film Animal

Let us tell you that Kangana Ranaut, while talking about Ranbir Kapoor's film Animal in her recent interview, said, "Even now, you can see any kind of film. What havoc do patriarchal films create at the box office? Oh ho ho ho. After watching it, it seems that where are these people coming out to clap and whistle. If the boys come out with axes, and they come out only with axes to kill people. No one is asking them about law and order. They go to schools with machine guns. The way the police is, no shame, the way its consequences are, no shame".

'Law and order is completely dead'- Kangana Ranaut

Continuing her talk, Kangana Ranaut further said, "Law and order is completely dead, tell me. And they are shedding blood, there are heaps of corpses. Why? Fun is in full swing. It is neither for public welfare, nor for borders, nor for public welfare. They are simply enjoying themselves. They are happy after doing drugs and the public comes out to see it, you can also look at the public, and what can you say about such a society? It is a matter of concern".

Those who make such films should be punished

Along with this, Kangana Ranaut said, "Such films should be condemned. The media is also responsible for the punishment given to such people. That should also be promoted. Whatever punishment they get, that should also be promoted and those who make such films should also be condemned. There should be criticism". 

Sandeep Reddy Vanga had said this about working with Kangana

Last year, after Animal became a blockbuster in 2023, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga had claimed that he would love to work with Kangana one day. However, Kangana had turned down the offer, replying, "Please never give me any role otherwise your alpha male hero will become a feminist and then your films will also flop, you make blockbusters, the film industry needs you."

Emergency will release on 6 September 2024 

Apart from Kangana, Emergency also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry and Shreyas Talpade. While Shreyas Talpade will be seen playing the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Anupam Kher will be seen in the role of Jayaprakash Narayan. Late actor Satish Kaushik will also be seen in the role of former Deputy Prime Minister of India Jagjivan Ram. Emergency has been postponed several times and is now scheduled to release in theatres on September 6, 2024.
